Community Made Custom Westsider 2.0

I just received my custom Westsider 2.0s from the good folks at Comunity Made in DTLA. From beginning to end it was a wonderful experience. I have been in the shoe biz for over 30 years and to have a one-off pair built just for me was great! Check that bucket-list box. Shannon, Sean, Noah, Sal and the entire crew at C-M walked me through the entire process from measuring my feet to selecting the upper and outline style, materials and details of construction. They were great to work with as we discussed the little tweaks. I even got to see the shoes being lasted at the micro-factory, a true "shoe dog" crafted experience which reminded me so much of the passionate craftspersons back in New England! I'll wear these shoes with pride and if anybody asks, and of course they will, I tell them all about the experience. It is a great way to build crafted footwear while also contributing to the revival of DTLA. Thanks guys! KG

We want to help make sure that your new shoes have the best fit possible.  

We have created a separate fit for men and women to provide the ultimate foot hugging comfort.  Our sockliner and upper materials will naturally mold to your foot and stretch out after a short period of time, so do allow for this when trying our shoes on initially.

 

 In general, our shoes are running closer to an everyday shoe fit vs. an athletic shoe fit and can be worn with or without socks - but the socks have to be eye catching for best results.
