The Story Behind COMUNITYmade X TourGirl Masks

Handmade by DTLA maker Eva Maciek (AKA Tourgirl) who started making masks after returning home to LA when COVID hit and shut down Hamilton the Musical in San Francisco.  Eva has been a costume designer/supervisor on award-winning mega-hits such as Book of Mormon, The Color Purple, Wicked, Mama Mia, Fosse, Lennon, Ragtime, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Phantom of the Opera.  (WOW!) Eva's design and impeccable construction talent extend to shoemaking as well as masks. She has attended two shoemaking workshops in our space and always wows us with her skill.

We want to help make sure that your new shoes have the best fit possible.  

We have created a separate fit for men and women to provide the ultimate foot hugging comfort.  Our sockliner and upper materials will naturally mold to your foot and stretch out after a short period of time, so do allow for this when trying our shoes on initially.

 

 In general, our shoes are running closer to an everyday shoe fit vs. an athletic shoe fit and can be worn with or without socks - but the socks have to be eye catching for best results.
